San Francisco State Students for Life is a club
dedicated to increase knowledge among students about what life is and
why it should be respected and protected from conception until natural
death.
They seek
to provide our club members and the SFSU community with relevant
information to promote the
dignity of every human life.
Santa Clara University
Stanford University
Stanford Students for Life is committed to working within the Stanford community to promote the most fundamental human rights for the most vulnerable members of society.
Their main activities include volunteer work with unwed mothers, hosting speakers at Stanford, and educating their community on pro-life issues. In 2007, SSFL hosted the Founder of Libertarians for Life, Doris Gordon.
As part of their annual activities, they proudly participate in the Walk for Life West Coast in San Francisco, hold a Roe v. Wade Memorial for the victims, and enjoy periodic visits to Heritage Home in San Jose.
UC Berkeley
Berkeley Students for Life is dedicated to educating the Cal community about the dignity of human life, especially that of the preborn and the seriously ill.
As part of this goal, BSL seeks to engage in a dialogue challenging widely held assumptions concerning individual autonomy, the right to life, the state's role in protecting life, and many other issues associated with the abortion, embryonic stem cell research and euthanasia debates.
However, BSL aspires to be more than a participant in a debate. They also provide information to assist women who are in crisis pregnancies and work towards a culture that more fully respects the fundamental value of human rights.
UC Irvine
Students for L.I.F.E. at UC Irvine was started fall of 2003 with the purpose of educating the UC Irvine community about local and global life issues in addition to giving support to women and families in crisis pregnancies. We advocate for the protection and dignity of human life from conception to natural death. While our goal is to raise awareness about all life issues, our primary objective is to help abortion-minded individuals realize not only the realities of abortion but also the alternatives to abortion. We aim to help the pro-life movement through firstly educating ourselves with discussion style meetings and then through going out into the UCI community through tabling, advertising for our local crisis pregnancy centers, and putting on various abortion awareness events.
Our club has tabled for pro-life propositions during elections, invited guest speakers to talk about life related issues from stem cell research to the death penalty, represented UC Irvine at the West Coast Walk for Life in San Francisco, created Cemetery of the Innocents displays on campus, peacefully protested in front of Planned Parenthood, and more. If you're in the Orange County area and looking for a club where you can gain knowledge, live out your beliefs, and help educate your college peers about the value of human life, then this is the club for you!
UCLA
Live Action is a
pro-education, non-sectarian, non-partisan student group. They believe in
the fundamental right to life for all human beings -- from the youngest
to the oldest, from conception until natural death. They are dedicated to
creating a world where every life is protected both by individual
choice and by law. They strive to protect the right to life by providing
the facts to the public about the humanity of the elderly and the
unborn.
